Emma is in G.A.T.E. at school and for the past 2 months has been involved in a bridge building competition. She stayed after school once a week and worked with her partner Taryn to bulid a bridge. She was given all the requirements and with a little help from Matt they built a pretty good bridge. They took it down to UNLV for the competition last Saturday to see how much weight her bridge could hold. It held 27.8 pounds. She won the contest for her school. We haven't heard of any other awards she may have won against other schools yet. It was a fun experience and she had fun building with her dad. Wouldn't it have been sweet if I had a picture of Emma and Matt building together? Oh well. Below are photos taken at UNLV with her other classmates and her bridge being tested.

She looks so proud...what a great kid. I think that it is awesome that her Dad helped her, too. Congrats Emma on a great job!
What a neat accomplishment! And to do it with her Dad! (I have some memories of things like that with my dad for school!) She'll always remember it!
Good job Emma!
